Ubisoft Education x Eureka Festival: a wonderful first year!

The radiant sun made its appearance for the 13th edition of the Eurêka festival, the largest celebration of science and technology for youth aged nine to twelve in Quebec! More than 142,000 visitors walked the grounds of the Old Port this year, a record for the festival which saw its attendance increase by 34% in 2019!

This was Ubisoft Education’s first time as a presenter of the festival’s Techno area, where we welcomed visitors with an impressive-looking kiosk.

Our very own Alexandre Lequin-Doré, marked Friday’s festival launch with a conference about the many fascinating jobs within the videogame industry. Our friendly host also took the opportunity to welcome our Ubisoft Women in Tech ambassadors, so they could share their insight about their career paths in the tech field.

Young visitors were happy to gather at the kiosk to discover Ancient Egypt through Assassin’s Creed’s Discovery Tour play stations. The most curious of the bunch asked our on-site employees questions, who were happy to take a moment to discuss their journey within the fascinating video game industry.

Our partner Kids Code Jeunesse also took part in the fun with their brand new activity Art: bit, a coding workshop combining art and technology.

A huge thank you to our partners and our volunteer employees, Juan Esteban Diaz, Brian Mcwilliams, Mylène Gosselin Legault, Ming Dutilly and Mailys Laylle, who generously donated their time to the many participating kids!

See you next year !
