Autumn is not just about falling leaves and shorter days. For independent game studios, it also marks the start of the competition for Quebec and Ontario’s technological creative ecosystem known as the Ubisoft Indie Series presented by National Bank.
Again this year, ten studios will vie for two grand prizes and the National Bank Special Prize, totalling $75,000 in cash, mentorship, and creative and financial tools to help them and their games reach new heights.
We know that funding and mentorship can help indie studios grow, mature, and take flight. Supporting the growth of local entrepreneurs is part of Ubisoft’s commitment to the technological creative community. We want to ensure that Quebec remains a hub for this industry of the future,” said Francis Baillet, vice president of corporate affairs at Ubisoft.
The studios will pitch their games to a handpicked jury of game design, storytelling, accessibility, programming, marketing, and financing experts.
