The Pride Week tradition continued at the Montreal studio from August 10-14, 2020.
This year again, despite the pandemic, we celebrated Pride week at the studio. In collaboration with UbiLove, Ubisoft Montreal’s first Employee Resource Group* (ERG), the studio revealed several COVID-friendly initiatives to highlight its commitment to the LGBTQ+ community.
Having a group like UbiLove where all members focus on shared responsibility and work together to make the studio a more inclusive and comfortable place to work – for all employees – is a great shared goal and brings people together.

Among other things, new permanent installations were displayed at the studio, rainbow-colored ice cream treats were given out and a new “Love is Love” t-shirt was created to allow employees to show their support for the community throughout the year.
There are other initiatives already in motion such as including pronouns in email signatures and non-gender bathrooms in our studios.

* About Employee Resource Groups
Commonly referred to as “ERG” in English and “GRE” in French, Employee Resource Groups bring together employees who work collaboratively to improve their work environment based on common characteristics or life experiences. They are made up of under-represented individuals as well as allies with a desire to help them in their mission.
