Game Lab Competition

Students have 10 weeks to deliver a playable video game prototype that follows the theme, guidelines, and constraints given by a jury of Ubisoft professionals. Students are free to organize into multidisciplinary, interdepartmental, or interuniversity teams to cover all the tasks necessary to complete the project. Each team can count on the support of two mentors from Ubisoft studios in Montreal, Quebec City, Saguenay and Sherbrooke.

At the end of the Competition, the jury selects winners in various categories and awards $22,000 in scholarships.

PARTICIPATION

The Game Lab Competition is open to all undergraduate and graduate full-time students enrolled during the winter term at any university in Quebec or any campus in Quebec of a university outside of Quebec that participates in the Competition. Universities and students are required to follow the Competition’s regulations and deadlines received upon their registration.

Students must register with the professor designated by their university. If a student intends to join a team registered at another university, the designated professor will indicate the procedure to follow.
