Senior Full-Stack Web Developer (DNA)

Full-time - REF20614P

Job description

The DNA team develops and manages a variety of data services and tools for storing and analyzing game telemetry. Known as a company-wide reference and trusted source, our products provide:

  • real-time visibility on how Ubisoft titles are played; and
  • an understanding of the habits and preferences of the people playing them.

Committed to knowledge sharing, we collect, process, and curate in-game data. Then transform it into clear and informative visualizations. The result? Meaningful metrics for production teams to make informed decisions and create even better gaming experiences.

As a senior full-stack web developer within the DNA team, you’ll lend your talents to Ubisoft’s most extensively consulted data collection application, impacting Ubisoft’s decision-makers and, by extension, our gamers.

More specifically, you’ll design, implement, and ensure the smooth operation of web tools – from developing dynamic and engaging UI to solving complex issues related to scalability and big data processing.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and maintain mainly front-end applications plus back-end applications to meet the needs of in-house clients.

  • Compile and assess the product manager needs + contribute to developing new features.

  • Validate and verify whether the newly developed systems are aligned with project intentions and remain coherent with current code + optimize when need be.

  • Assess and fix bugs.

  • Document your work to transfer knowledge and enable other users to understand and use the new systems and features.

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Around 5 years of experience in web programming (or other relevant experience)
  • A thorough understanding of:
    - Full-stack web technology
    - Front-end technologies and frameworks including Angular, Javascript, Typescript, RxJS, CSS & front-end design patterns such as MVC and MVVM
    - Web services developed in Express, Nest.js, or ASP.Net
    - Object-oriented design patterns like Observer, Composite, Adapter, etc.
    - Database technologies, including SQL and No-SQL databases
  • Interest in DevOps (deployment, ongoing integration) and up-and-coming web technologies
  • Resourcefulness, initiative, and the ability to resolve issues through elegant and innovative solutions
  • A degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineer (or related training)
  • A collaborative spirit + solid communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

Just a heads up: If you require a work permit, your eligibility may depend on your education and years of relevant work experience, as required by the government.
